Helpful Self Storage Tips:

✦ Try to maximize your storage space but keeping your items protected. Use the vertical space. When stacking items in your self storage unit, be sure to stack heavier items below the light ones. Use pallets or some type of canvas sheeting under cardboard boxes to keep items off of the floor. Also, be sure to fill boxes completely.

✦ Use bubble wrap, newspapers or other covers to protect fragile items.

✦ Make sure to utilize empty spaces in dresser drawers and appliances. Make sure to clean your appliances first and drain washing machines before storing.

✦ Try keeping a space around the walls so you can get to items easier.

✦ Make sure to label all boxes on all sides for identification.

✦ If storing items that need regular access, store them near the door or have path to easily access them.

✦ Do not store combustible, flammable, hazardous, or toxic materials such as gas, fuel, oils, chemicals, etc.
